I voted NSPP - This is rather controversial. Unlike the Germans and the Italians, the Japanese were rather more fanatic - they fought to the death for their Emperor rather than surrender, while in desperate situations the Germans and Italians would surrender. If the atomic bomb was not used, there would be a large possiblity that the Japanese would have fought to the death if the US Army landed in Japan and thus millions more Japanese and Americans would have died.
On the other hand, the hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians killed in this horrific manner is stunning for anyone who values life, and thus on this controversial issue I remain netural.
