Thanks for the youtube link to the trailer. It seems like a good and realistic movie about the Katyn massacre. Let me know when it comes out! I will try to see it.

A Polish friend of mine watched the movie today and posted a review somewhere else. Here it is -

Basically, the film can be divided into three parts. In the first one, we follow the officers from 17th of September (USSR invades Poland) to the camp in Kozielsk. We learn a bit about them, and also learns a bit about the life of one of the officers' wife (Anna). The second part shows us, how the families of officers survived the war, and how they learned to cope with the post-war world - world full of soviets, soviets who murdered their husbands, brothers, sons, friends. The third part shows us the Katyń massacre itself.
The next thing that need to be said is that the film is highly historically correct. I mean that facts, dates, uniforms and al the stuff from the epoch is as it was. Even NKVD used Lugers while executing. Yes, executing. The final scene of the film shows of the moment of the execution itself. Watchers can see, as officers are being shoot in their heads, as the parts of heads spread, as the blood spreads... And the murderers from the almighty NKVD don't even blink, while they shoot one by one, only changing chambers form time to time. The film is likely to make asleep everybody, who came just the watch the film and were not interested in the history itself. But this scene wakes up and stays in mind... I came to the cinema with my whole school. These morons were laughing when they should not. However the whole cinema was silent when we saw the first officer to be shoot...
Quite a good film, I'd say. But the post-war middle-chapter could have been a little shorter and less underlined.
This film brought the massacre from numbers to living people.

Il s'agit bien d'une des plus grandes manipulations du 20ème siècle.
Il est plus que temps de faire le procès du communisme.
